Cant say that I have seen many and certainly cant think of any that look any good …but is it possible to use wooden stand off lettering on a fascia and make it look good. Punter after ‘natural look’/organic sign. Will try to pursuade them to avoid wood.

Any comments/tips/suggestions (including any examples of good ones) welcome.

    Ta.

I don’t have any experience of these personally but there’s a shop here that has had sandblasted signs up for 10years and they are still going strong. So good in fact that they are getting taken down and re-painted to fit in with a new colour scheme.

Also http://www.moranswoodcomponents.co.uk might be worth a look.

We have had a deal of success using a Spandex product called Signroc. Its expensive but easy to work takes paint/ink well and can be textured to a wide variety of surface finishes ie wire brushed, hammered [ball peen] etc.
Once worked, it is visually difficult to tell what material it is [or is not] as the case may be!
It comes in 20 or 40 mm sheets. We use a CNC router to work it.
    Good luck!

    Hi Marts

We at the grain sandblasted sign co make vertical grain cedar-wood letter systems to order for the sign trade. It has taken some time to perfect, but they look stunning and if fitted correctly on a nickle coated popper system ( we can supply) last for years. They will give your client that "whole organic look they are looking for. IF you are interested let me know and I will gladly email a couple of jpegs of the product. 😀
