I am just curious to know what types of programs everyone uses for fonts? I have thousands and thousands of fonts but I am not sure if I am as organized as I could be. I don’t have but about 100 installed so I am wondering what programs are most helpful and easily used when needing a font that is not installed?

For example: When I need to find a font that has to be a match I usually post a font request here and then arrow up and down through the thousands that I have until I find it (which doesn’t happen as often as I would like 🙂 .

The most commonly used fonts are easier found as I get more experience but I am just wondering if I could be doing something better? The font program I have is called Font Navigator.

    Any info is greatly appreciated.

    Tony

Tony I was just like you, very disorganised and just use to look through lots of fonts hoping to find the right one. I do remember reading some time ago that VMP came with something called font detective which was used for matching fonts. Don’t know how good it was or if you can buy it on its own but might be worth contacting future one to find out.

Yes you can buy Font Detective on it’s own, Future Corp will have or should have a dealer in the states.
