Ian.
great job, I presume it done in some type of vinyl? I haven’t come across one though that would give a finish like that and be so conformable,
Are you going to let us in on your secret, before we guess at the price?Peter

I saw a smart car like this the other day. . no lie. . wish I had my camera. . !
dunno what the traffic police will make of it. . could see a chrome car being a bit of a hazard of a sunny day !
I was turning to work out if it was a wrap or some sort of chrome paint.

looks like that sultans car (forgotten his name) was it made out of some precious metal and cost about 3 million

Photoshop :lol1:
I drive a Farrari but wrapped it in a picture of a Fiat Punto, nobody knows I drive a Farrari :lol1:

Its a 3D render, I think some thing looks wrong about it.
If real, very nice 😀
-
Surely thats not vinyl, I didn’t think the Holographic stuff was conformable. 😕

amazing what you can do with a tin of nitromors
but i am preparing my hat for the micro wave with some salt and vinegar 😀

That adds up to three days in my book. 😉 :lol1:

Looks like a render for that one – but it CAN be real.
eg. http://www.chromepaint.com/information.php?info_id=3
didn’t somebody post a picture of a transit wrapped in chrome a few months back?
Dave
ps. The sultan’s ‘silver’ car was in fact polished aluminium
-
I think there are also some new types of chrome vinyl about now which are a bit more workable.
-
i couldn’t comment on whether it’s real or not, but i do recall the transit a while back. if i’m honest, it does look like a photoshop job !
as for the legality, i don’t see as it would be too much of an issue, after all, those big 40ft chrome or polished stainless tankers get away with it, i’d guess there’s no law dictationg it, otherwise we’d have cars with tiny windows to stop sun reflecting off of them. if i knew of a conformable enough material, i’d love to cover a car in chrome or rainbow chrome !
