  Banners

  Hi all,

  I’ve been asked to quote for 10 banners around 8feet long. I had a stock of ready made banners which were excellent quality. The hems were stitched and eyelets incorporated – sadly, they’ve all gone and I don’t know who the supplier was. Does any one know of a supplier?
  If not can anyone advise on the use of "banana banner" or similar. Does this come with a hem, if not does it need one? I would have thought so.
  I have watched the video tutorial which is excellent, but cant see of a way of hemming banana banner with the eyelets already in place.
  Also , the spacing of the eyelets seems to be 610mm on a 22m roll. If I’m not mistaken, this would mean only getting 9 banners @ 2440, thus having to buy 2 rolls.

  Any help or advice would be most welcome

  Jim it has a sort of welded hem at the top & bottom so to answer you question no it doesn’t need hemming and it is only really meant to be for short term display so they say it doesn’t need to be hemmed at the edges when it is cut. I thought the eyelets were every 500mm but it is a while since I have done any work so could be wrong about that. its a very lightweight material as well so not really suitable for banners that need to stand up to Scottish weather for long periods !!!

  Banana/Bandanna Banners are nice to work with. Sort of a fused hem on them with double grommets every 18" or so.
  But not suitable for long-term use, especially in a windy area.
  Then again, aren’t banners short-term items anyway?
  I’m sure they would do just fine for a few months outdoors.
  I regularly make safety banners for a large glass plant, for use indoors.
  The banner material comes in other colors than white, which is nice, and they have a nice heavy feel. The thing is, sometimes the grommets tear out.

  Robs link to beta banners came up trumps. Good stitched hem banners at a good price.
