    hi john, spandex do printable magnetic material. not sure on width etc for use on your printer but it might be worth giving them a call mate. they do the thinner fridge magnetic stuff and the heavier car stuff.

    The magnetic can be bought in its natural colour, and then flood coated with your print, I would have thought it a less troublesome way to do the job,

    the stuff spandex do has a white top coat which is handy! just have to make sure you adjust your blade settings and height settings on your printer first!

    Magnum Magnetics makes a material called "DigiMag" 15 & 20 mil for indoor applications and 30 mil for vehicle signage.
