Any tips for paint filling large logos/text on Aluminium?
We are thinking of spraying it, does it need etch priming?
Any tips would be appriciated.

Depends on how big your letter/logo your engraving.
I normally use Plasticote enamel paint straight to the engraved surface, thin it down first with white spirit so it runs easily and apply it using a syringe.
Leave to dry for 24 hours in a dust free environment.
It dries rock hard after a couple of days and i’ve never had the paint come out.

Nick, I have no experience at paint filling at all as I have never done that sort of work but having worked with Aluminium quite a bit I would say you would be better off etch priming it rather than taking a chance, it isn’t going to take you much longer and cost will be negligible especially compared to the cost of having to redo it because the paint you used hasn’t adhered properly and is coming away.

The way i do it is with syringe with a rubber washer in side so you can feel the paint flow out nice, mix some 2pack with little hardner less then normal, and little reducer not much at all put it in a jar then put that in the fridge works better cold and stops it from going off so fast. I tried enamel but it can get a hairy look about it because it takes so longto go off. Dont worry about etching you infill a good amount of paint i have never had a problem. Bronze i would not bother infilling if its a good size use mat black vinyl.
