  • Spacers with L.E.D. built in?

Posted by Brian Maher on 25 January 2007 at 13:54

    hi all,
back at one of the sign uk shows i spotted a fitting for mounting acrylic signs on walls that had a built in L.E.D… gave the same effect as edge lit but looked tidier.. similar to FISSO spacers etc.

trouble is i can’t recall the name of who does them…

    can anyone help??

    cheers
    Brian

    Hi Brian

I know that a company in Dublin does these – Cutting Edge – Trade service so I think probably trade prices. http://www.cuttingedge.ie/products/

The LED’s look great but from memory, are not cheap!

    Hope this helps.

i knew these things weren’t going to be cheap but turns out
they are costing around 500 euro for 4 😮

surely there are other suppliers out there..

i think we’ll be getting out the drill and having a go ourselves as dave suggests :lol1:

I’ve been trying to find you a link for these, as there is a company (possibly in Belgium) that manufactures these. The LEDs are hidden inside the wall mounted standoff. It works for smaller signs, since you can only get so much light from such a small space – but it works.

    Something like storekit.de, signfix.com… ring a bell?
