    Hi to all.
I have a specific need. Have to produce 100 pieces of edge-lit whit engraved acrylic. Normally I use a MINISTAR aluminum profile (about 6 CM high). The edge-lit is 70×30 CM – the customer thinks, the MINISTAR is too large for this dimensions. Is there an another profile with smaller dimensions, which is suitable for use whit fluorescent lamp? Unfortunately, the LED-solution whit its very compact profile is not possible because it is too expensive to the customer.

I think, maybe a non-crabbed profile would be also OK.

Thanks for any advice and comment.

    Hi Dave,
it´s a most common profile here in Slovakia, sold by every supplier.

Is the edgelit being used as a flat white backlight panel for posters, or are you leaving the acrylic clear and putting the artwork right into the surface of the acrylic?

I deal specifically with LEDs and could certainly find a solution for you. 70×30 could easily be illuminated with LED – but your concern thus far is cost. Keep in mind that purchasing anything in Europe is going to be more expensive – but being in Canada, I can help find a solution that might be a whole lot more cost competitive – considering that the cost for a T5 type system that you’re looking for isn’t widely used or cheap either.
