vehicle graphics: pink flames
Posted by David Rogers on 5 January 2007 at 13:44Following on from the discussion about magnetic sheet suppliers / pros & cons etc. I thought I share on of the more embarrassing jobs.
8 metres of pink flames for the side & bonnet of a limo.
Customer was cutting them out himself to save a few quid. (Quite a few).
Oh, the shame of it. 😳

If you look up the word ‘gay’ in the dictionary, there would be a picture of those flames.

Ah! A ‘Flaming Homosexual’?

Did the limo belong to Elton John?
😉
Love….Jill
PS
They sell digiprint magnetic flames in auto parts stores here, they look like crap! Isn’t it funny how people can afford an expensive ride but are too cheap to properly pimp it out? -

Love….JillWorse – the guy normally drives a black hearse or a funeral limo – would’ve paid to see that / done them for free. But these (unfortunately) are for when he uses the white limo for ‘girly’ nights out – as he ain’t buying a pink one!

I get asked every now-and-again for vinyl or digi-prints (boy & girl racers) – most fall over at the price.
I took this guy (as you see them) for £250 (was this enough?) – he says they’ll probably last a couple of months. As usual, I offered NO guarantees that they’ll stay on past 30mph – and only if they were put on right. Fantastic get-out clause – as I hate magnetics.

David, how long ago did you do this job? The reason I ask is because I had 2 customers that had limo businesses and the bonnets on them were aluminium so although the side ones would have been OK the bonnet ones would have been no good at all.
As for a pink limo one of these customers had a repair done to one of his limos and they mucked up the re-spray so all of one side looked really bad, he got another company to spray the whole thing pink and it has been great for his business as it is booked out most of the time.

Did it about 3 weeks ago and not heard from him so can only assume it was OK…
