  • Clear pockets for printed banners

    Hi All

I have been asked to put clear pockets on to a printed banner for date inserts. This is not something I have done before. I was thinking of using clear cling taped to banner using hi tack tape is this the correct way of doing this or is there a better way.

    Thanks

    Colin

Print them and send them to Trounce Ltd (0161 740 2159) they will weld pockets with top flaps on (to stop any paperwork in there getting soggy)

    Thanks Dave

Not sure cost of sending 4 banners for welded pockets are going to be worth doing. I was hoping to keep job in house as time & money is an issue.

    Thanks

Why bother with pockets, that is what vinyl lettering is for.
I can just see the cr@ppy (non waterproof) felt pen scrawl that I see so often on banners, looks tacky in no time. 🙄

    Hi Mike

Client wants to re-use banners and just wants to change date hence pockets. Inserts to be printed on banner vinyl. Did think about removable vinyl but have concerns about ink lifting.

    Thanks

We did some for a local annual carnival. Used 480mic PVC with velcro to rear and gave them 10off with dates on as they only used them within that date span in one month of the year.

    Hi Dave

I’ve done something similar in the past.

I got my banner supplier to weld on some clear PVC squares.

3 welds, one at the left one at the top and bottom, this then leaves a slot on the right hand side to insert whatever you want.
