losing quality with pictures
Posted by siroccomanuk on 23 November 2006 at 11:47Hi, can anyone help me? I have a logo that I need to make a lot of stickers from. Trouble is, when expaned to size I need, the edges look very grainy and not clear.
Is there anyway of making the image more clear?
TIA,
Dawn

Couple of ways:
Redraw it as a vector so image is crisp or put it through Photoshop (or similar) and increase the resolution. The software can add pixels based on it’s neighbours. Works pretty well most of the time and stops the ‘blocky’ look to blownup prints.

re: Increase res.
Photoshop -(On top menu) IMAGE >>> IMAGE SIZE >>> increase the image RESOLUTION. eg. if 60dpi make it 600 dpi
It will fill in the pixels ‘intelligently’ resulting in a smoother image.
