Anybody know a good, yet cheap supplier for fluorescent gear trays?

    Needing a couple of 2x 8′.

I think Amari do them…but I basically refuse to deal with them these days!!

    Cheers

Insight Sign Systems in Glasgow used to do them plus a lot of other stuff but not sure what their prices are like compared to others.

Dave if you want the components, try cef (city electrical factors)
or as you are familiar with RS

hi i,m new to this site, and am just starting up but have been an electrician for 40 years.wouldn’t it be better to install compleate fittings, can buy for about the same price and no wiring

Adrian, the problem with using complete units generally would be the depth of them, because the tube fits on top of the unit it would be to close to the acrylic panel especially if you were making slimline boxes. I have actually used complete units myself but in wooden boxes which I had to make for a customer. He wanted the boxes to be about a foot deep for some reason so a complete lighting unit was ideal.
