  whats the best method of hanging a light box?

  Customer requires his menu light box to be hung in his shop. It measures 1200 x 500 slim box, and really just wanted some advice on the best way to hang it. Will chains be suitable at this size do you think? One company we contacted said they had a kit for hanging, but is it just as easy to get some chains from B&Q and bolt them to the top of the box?

  Any advice you can chip would be good!

  I usually just buy some DIY shop chain and fix it to the box using those little stirrups, again from the DIY shop.

  I’d do a B&Q….

  go to the locks, ropes & chains bit – get the flat mounts that have a ‘C’ or a ‘U’ welded to them. Pop rivet these to the top & screw to the roof & use your imagination for the bit in between!

  Never actually resorted to chain – normally use the steel wire / rope & the assortment of fixings that you can get.
