    Hi,

Customer insistent in having a sign blank with chrome/stainless steel posts – have warned him will be expensive.

Ashby unable to help and guess may have to check with steel fabricators unless anybody else has suppliers details??

    Any suggestions appreciated.

    Ta.

    Stainless poles!?!

Try a steel yard / stockist.

    http://www.righton.co.uk/steel.htm (VERY slow to load)

I think Righton’s might do steel extrusions & pipes. Failing that – it’s into the petro-chemical industry to get thick walled stainless pipes.

Might be worthwhile seeing if you can get ‘bright steel’ and getting it nickel plated (less prone to cracking than chrome).

I think ashby / rightons will do aluminium poles – may polish up enough for a laquer coat.
