Nice to see some window work Bernardo
That’s a real pleasure to see
Quite eye catchingI’ve not done window sign painting for years but even after all these years there’s still a few windows that display my old work
Tend to use vinyl now
Still do signwriting of course
Thanks for sharing

Georgio you cheeky monkey, I’m just off out to lunch 😀

Nice work Bernardo, The demand for brushwork is rapidly declining here.
Haven’t done a poster /showcard in over 5 weeks ( time to devote bench/racking/storage space to something more productive)
I find that customers are looking for vinyl/ digital replacements for their old painted signs

the first picture made me think of a good use of vinyl then i saw urself painting away. Very well done.

Really nice work there mate
kinda jealous cause I can’t even draw a straight line or a circle 😮
-
thanx for the compliments everyone. so glad i found this website, the communication does good!
i know what you mean pat, believe me its no different here in germany. and to tell the truth theres not enuff work going round for me…
what i really like about the hand painted stuff is when i do the preperation sketches on paper for the pounce pattern. the writing on the top just doesnt work out right when i write it out mechanically. and then i do it by sight and it fits in perfectly. its like a miracle wonder. it just works out!
not trying to pat myself on the back here. its just such a pleasure…thanks again all. and stevo i really admire your work man, nice to hear from you.

Gorgeous.
The window looks nice too.
😉
Just kidding.
I love to see your work.
Have you ever tried marbelizing?
That’s a fun effect on glasswork.
I heard that David Kynaston is having a Letterheads meet in Wales next year.
That group in particular does lots of glass work.
It might be worth your while to investigate.

jill yer such a laugh!
dare i say that pictures can fool sometimes…i should send in one my morning pics :yikes:
marbelizing…never done that before but would´ve had the chance recently. i think i have to learn to do fades like aj does first…what a painter… sure i´d like to learn marbelizing…
i think i´d try to get to the meet if i can. it would be cool!
thanx again for the positive feedback! the owner of the shop wants the shape in black changed into a big rectangle; she said the one on the pic reminded her of a massive black bat! (i hadn´t painted grey yet). funny thought!
all the best,
bernardo

thanx brian, thanx dave!
noone seems to have noticed or at least mentioned the typographical errors… (you´re all so kind and courteous). check out the M and two N´s.
this is another aspect of signwriting i really like too, there´s always something that makes the work unique in itself. no mistakes would be real cool sure, but pobody´s nerfect right? and if you find something its like a small game. almost a treat to find something. thats why i dont really mind leaving something behind now and then aslong as it looks decent and not an awful piece of work. wish you all the best.

bernardo weve all done it …me probally more than most 😀 😀 . I lettered a truck a few years ago (traditional ) and instead of the word contractors …..id written contactors. The owner only noticed when a sales rep came into his premises !!!. he doesnt want it sorted …he likes it that way !!!! people …youll never sus them out 😀 😀 The great thing about trad signwriting is that at the time if we notice its just a bit of white spirit on a cloth and away we go …rather than back to the workshop to cut another letter 😀
as i said excellent work tho Bernardo -
excellent work bernardo, top notch mate. 😉
