  • Opinions on digital PVC banner material?

Posted by Graeme Speirs on 15 August 2006 at 19:09

hi all, was just looking to see some opinions on good quality digital banner material, have recently got my cadet 54" and am impressed by the print quality etc but not too confident some of the banners ive produced will stick around too long as they seem to rip in my hands rather easily, therefore Im looking to stick with one brand for outdoor work which is more durable etc without breaking the bank

any advice, recomendations and suppliers are appreciated.

    cheers

i dont know what we pay, but we use europoint for our digital banner material. they do a decent digital banner and also a budget one. i dont like the budget one though, but have never had any problems with the good stuff. th budget stuff is good for temp/short term banners but not for printing.

cheers rob, thats what I think I used, it was dleivered today by europoint, in terms of print its fine but not sure about how strong it is, I was told thats the only one they had, not sure if I can metnion prices so do a mod edit if need be!! it work out as 2.40 per metre based on a 50m roll x 137 wide, as I say quality looks good but I can rip the stuff with my hands without a hell of a lot of trouble, you reckon this is the budget stuff? cheers graeme

i dont know prices the banner mate, so cant comment if thats budget or the good stuff. if the stuff i used was easy to rip by hand, i wouldnt use it, then again im just a wee guy. :lol1: :lol1:
i just remembered, i also bought some blockout banner material from them for those projecting double sided banners on poles that i posted in the portfolio forum a month back. costs more i think but is a bit thicker, or at least feels it. as i said though, ive never had any bother at all with any of the digital banner material… mybe an idea to call cameron and ask him to double check what you got sent.

we use a ferrari stamoid banner material from Hexis. Its gloss front matt reverse. Fantastic print on the grenadier & GFX. tried loads but the weve found the quality of this brand unbeatable. Weld v.nice as well. They also do a thinner pvc which is great for rollup stands.
