The sign guy that printed and supplied this has gone broke, and the client does not have the original.

I’ve been asked to redo it as the window has cracked, but I have no idea where to look to find clipart like this.

Anyone give me some pointers please….

i am guessing that the image is of the egyptian goddess isis which is a starting point i think, i will have a look through my clipart discs

I just googled ‘Egyptian art’ and got loads of similar pics up, don’t know how you would find the exact one though.

thats really good guys, but I wonder if anything is available to buy or use. These pics are 1100mm wide and 1800 high.

I’ve looked at jpg’s till I’m seeing mummies, was hoping some one would say they had a cd or knew how I could buy it 😕

Even looked on getty and comstock 🙄

You couldn’t just get a high res photo of the original (6 to 12MP) & photoshop it a bit could you? Will never be as sharp as the original, but could be as near-as-dammit.

would be easier to take a 6mp digital camera… put it on a tripod and snap a photo of it… improve it in photoshop / etc and then re-print it to match, I have used stitching methods in the past to create large images.

hhmm didn’t really want to go down that path, but I can do that I suppose. Got my d70 so that would not be a problem.

He is not keen on paying too much, insurance should cover it, but he has been told that insurance does not cover signage anymore, so he has to foot the bill himself. Not sure he’ll be happy to pay for my time.

I might ask him if he has this pic on his menus…. Then I can drum scan it.
