  Edge – Colour registration

  Just started to use a Gerber Edge I and the colour registration is out. Only by a tiny bit (less than 0.5mm). Any ideas?

  Thats normal mate you need to use over print, over laps and bleeds to fix the problem.

  Its all good fun, plenty of playing and wasting of foils, but its worth it in the end. Welcome to the edge, fantastic.

  Nick pretty much nailed the answer there. Working with multiple foil passes, there is always the risk of misregistration between different passes. Plus, applying heat to the media causes it to expand, which causes the foil applied area to shrink ever so slightly when the media cools.
