    Hi,

Not sure how to approach this job, and dont’ want to bite off more than I can chew.

Client has a very curved wall (if you can imagine quarter of a circle it is that rounded) and the current fascia is raised, joined lettering (seems foamboard with simplefix) applied to painted plywood or similar. This is currently lit externally with swan-neck type lighting (which I don’t particularly like).

They want the fascia renewed, and are after back-lit lettering. Cannot see how this can be done, given the curve and the fact that the joined lettering will be quite long.

    Guess my questions are these:

Can it be backlit at reasonable price?

Is there any external lighting apart from the swan-neck style, that looks good – contacts appreciated.

    Ta.

    Martin

p.s. guess you could have back lit routered di-bond trays, with the curvature cut out top and bottom – although obviously would be flat face on

Hi Martin, sounds like you are after a curved lightbox, kind of like the things yo see on garage forecourts, and at Tesco’s etc?

    Hi Lorraine,

Guess curved lightbox may be an option (any supplier details?) but it is the back of the sign that must also be curved to follow the wall contours – guess the bespoke nature of such a sign likely to push prices up?

Martin, give Northern Lightboxes a ring, they will be able to tell you.
