Can anyone tell me how (if possible) to put a blur/fade effect on an image.
    I have Corel 12 & Photoshop CS2

The image is rectangular in shape & consists of a yellow rubber duck on a blue background. the duck is sat to the far left of the image and there is a lot a blue to the right.

What i want to do is fade part of the blue to white/clear on the right hand side of the image only. (hope this makes sense).

    thanks

    Hi Neill,

Our very own Dave Rowland created a demo for this a couple of months back in the demonstration forum.

You would need to subscribe to view it though, but it`s well worth the dosh.

    Get image

    LAYER>>>NEW FILL LAYER>>>GRADIENT ‘OK’

ANGLE ‘180’, click on the gradiated fill bar / double click on the BOTTOM colour tabs (along the gradient) & move the colour selection to white (or anything you like) – pull the tab along – about half way, looking at your image as it will update ‘real time’.

    When it’s OK, hit OK.

Hope that helps you a wee bit.

    Dave

    Thanks for the replies guys
Just followed your instructions David, that is exactly what I wanted thanks very much. If the customer likes the design I will post some pictures.

Think it is time to upgrade the membership, just got to convince the boss to give me the company credit card!!
