not really sure why i’m posting this, other than its a fun thing to have been involved in,

horrible application in todays humidity and heat, vinyl misbehaving ALOT ! got a few bits to re-do i the morning, but otherwise it’s there at last !

anyways, a pal is taking part in the scumball rally, a cheap and cheerful version of the gumball, nottingham to nurburgringthingplace,

he came to me last week and said he neded the car signed by today as he’s leaving on thursday,

it’s all in aid of cancer research,

he showed me the website, but i wasnt keen on reproducing the logo as it was, the first mage attached, so i went about making their car slightly more unique, and very tongue in cheek,

they’re over the moon with it, but having only 2hrs to fit it all, and only a few hours to get it all cut, a few b00bs were made (other than the one’s on the girls… crafted to my specs ! !)

    oh well enough waffle, ………………

do ya think ? i was a little worried they were a tad small !!!

when he first came over, there was only the girls on the doors and hood to do, and i could have the back window, then when he came by yesterday, there was suddenly a load of sponsors to squeeze on too, he wanted the car kind of filled up, so i went as far as i thought i could without it being a total mess !

Hugh, looks great for the scumball,

but… beware of putting your name on the car as a sponsor, I hope you charged for the work.
I have done similar years ago, and the only work you will get is other people wanting you to do free signs for a bit of space on their car. 😀

if its for charity no probs I do it for a low or no cost, but depending on where the project will be seen, and by whom, I quite often leave my name off

oh thats funny, u sure u didn’t take a photo of the girl friend hugh as she came out of the shower and picked up her towell, then u corel traced her?…. let lets say for the past 2-3 years we done the gunball rally stickers via the silk screen route.

    Peter,

You are quite right, I have been caught numerous times doing this sort of job being promised that the vehicle will be on telly – yes it was and the only feed back that I ever got was people wanting freebees

these guys are mates, and will be keeping the car as is when it returns, so i dont mind the advertising, they’ve been briefed about not letting on that i only charged them cost ++ a pint or two for the materials, it’s gonna be in the local paper in a few weeks, but i’m not bothered if not, it’s free advertising, i already had a pal call me up last night asking if was in a black alfa !

Peter….as for being careful about taking photo’s with reflections, i was aware of the reflection, but i can assure you, if it were poking out the end of my long shorts, then i’d be making far better money in another industry !

    Very nice Hugh 😀

As for adverts on vehicles, I have a few paying customers with them on, one wanted an advert for his wheelcover and even offered to pay for the advert 😮
