    Hi Guys,

Is there such a thing as vinyl designed to be fitted to marine vessels etc which can sustain prolonged periods in water?.

It`s the first time i`ve ever been asked this question and while i assured the potential customer than standard vinyl is waterproof, he enquired as to whether or not the adhesive was fully waterproof and if the salt water could in any way damage the vinyl.

At this point i decided to seek advice 🙂

Anyone have any experiences with this?

    Thanks

    Rod

Yes Rod, 3M 7725 cast material is considered a marine grade material, and has one of the best warranties for marine use.

3M 7225 is a marine grade too Rod, but they don’t sell much of it here now.

The differences are basically 7225 has a darker glue, and a paper carrier backing, 7725 has a clear glue, and plastic carrier backing.
