    How do.

Just got a job sent through in illustartor. We’ve got illustrator CS. More of a freehand user to be honest. Need to match vinyls to the artwork, and dont want to match it from the screen. The client says I can find the pantone colours he’s used, in illustrator. Basically, I cant find them, any help would be great.

    Cheers.

    Adam,

It is easy to see if they have the PMS values in the Illustrator document.

    – Open the file in Illustrator
    – Click (with the white arrow) on the part you want to know the colour of and see what color shows up the color palette or what swatch highlights in the swatches palette (show these palettes using the Window menu in the top bar)

Let us know if this worked, there are a few things that could get in your way like when objects are locked – unlock them by choosign Object >> Unlock all.

    Good luck
    Jaap-Jan
