  • Is selectstore any good to order from?

Posted by Micheal Donnellan on 10 May 2006 at 00:11

Hello everyone, just a question from a newbie in Ireland.

Has anyone have any experience with vinyl from http://www.selectstore.com, especially anyone from Ireland.
What is quality of service like, are their prices dear in your opinion. And what’s their vinyl like, Good or Bad. Would you recommend them?

All replies very welcome, as I am new to this and need all the help I can get.

i ordered some material when I started out such as app tape dispenser and some vinyl. no problems at all, but as I found out more and joined the site europoint were better in terms of products and price IMO. the stuff takes longer to arrive and delivery costs are higher though. they are based in germany Im sure ?

    hope this helps

    Thanks for the replies.

Europoint Display are UK only as far as I know. Do they have a website?

Anyone know where you can order stuff from in Ireland?

    Hi,

I’ve ordered from selectstore before, and yes they are from Germany. I think the vinyl that turned up was Ritrama. The bloke who owns SelectStore seems really helpful. The only downside was that the vinyl was on a roll that wasn’t even as big as a Kitchen roll tube, nevermind the 30mm that seems to be the standard from everyone else. That kind of made it difficult to put on my vinyl cutter.

http://www.europointdisplay.co.uk/ although it seems to be all about their paper ranges rather than Oracal vinyl. I phoned them to place my orders and went to collect the vinyl from Manchester at 8pm on the same day….

This thread http://www.uksignboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=5763 gives their details (from the Sign Suppliers forum on the main forum list).

Europoint don’t appear to use couriers, they said they didn’t think they could deliver to my house (business address) as their trucks are 17tons.

    Hope this helps

    Hi there,

We’ve been over in Brittany, France for about 3 years & have used SelectStore ever since. To begin, they were extremely helpful & easier to order from than any of the companies in France – our French is good face-to-face but a different story on the phone. Since then, their stock has increased 10-fold but their prices have remained the same.

We bought our machinery from them as well & have not had a problem with it or their vinyl in 3 years.

However, we don’t have experience of other suppliers and do wonder about companies in France, but the fact that they refuse to provide prices let alone deliver without interrogating you first is a pain.

We can order on Monday & receive on Thursday. They are very helpful & have an english-speaking phoneline.

I would, however, be interested to know if anyone has any contacts in France – one thing is that the French are about 10yrs behind the UK with regards webdesign, so it is not as easy to source suppliers via the internet as hardly anyone has a website – another plus for SelectStore!

So, yes, I would recommend them…

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

    Scottish, in France!

I have used Selectstore loads of times! Got my Vinyl cutter from them too! Excellent service, great prices and delivery works out at less than £5 regardless of size / quantity.
(Why do we get fleeced for deliveries in the UK??)
Always had good customer service and advice when needed. Their English is also good if you need to phone them!
