Hi everyone, I accidently kicked my dongle for my omega software. Now my software is only running in demo mode. Is there any way round this or do you know if you can cut from coreldraw?

I broke my one a short while ago and Signwizard wanted £100 for a replacement! Needless to say I managed to fix/bodge it back together!!

Whatever you do don’t lose or mess up your dongle for Engravelab. I had the missfortune to have a computer stolen with the dongle attached, it only cost me £1050 to get it replaced 😥 😥 😥 Worst bit was that we only had had the program a week (chat.) 😥

When our serial dongle went a couple of years ago, it cost us a few hundred quid and also took two and a half weeks to replace it, they didnt keep any spares, and had to ship it in from the states. I also had to fight to get them to loan us one – all this with a service contract as well. Hopefully things have now improved.

The replacement cost is for a complete new software package with a new dongle, cd and serial number. Dongles are all programmed with individual serial numbers, so your old code won’t work – its also what we are charged by the manufacturer.

My signwizard dongle got zapped a few years ago, cost me $150 I think, but I don’t recall getting a new program. That was 4.1 tho. Not v5

I would select print setup, then in my case, Roland plotter from the drop down menu, then back and select print preview, (you might have to change your page size somewhere along the way) in this window, from one of the drop down menus you have the option to position your design anywhere on the page for output, select bottom centre, then print! make sure everything is converted to curves and all lines are around 1 point width….. I’m hoping that works for you guys…

Hmmm…… don’t know about that Dave, we fell out with Spandex twice over dongles, the first time we had a maintenance contract and had never claimed in 3 years and they still wanted £300 + hence the reason we dropped the maintenance contract!

The second time they quoted over £400 and it would have taken 2 weeks!
