  Removing vinyl from canopies

  Is there a safe way of removing old vinyl lettering from canopies… sounds like a problem to me??

  I don’t know about removing vinyl, but I removed some painted lettering once and I used cellulose thinners with no ill effects. I would imagine using a hair dryer would be OK – just be careful not to ‘dent’ it while it’s warm as it may not return to its normal shape. You never know it may come off easily, it depends what the vinyl is and how long it’s been there.
