Restoration at Cardiff Castle
Not signs this post, but a skill that is employed by signwriters which is produced using a flat liner or lining fitch. Also I had to apply a stencil at dado height and at the top of the wall.
Thru February I worked on the walls of a room that was restored as it would have been in William Burgess’ era. He was the man who decorated the Castle over 150 years ago.
Anyway this took me 20 days to complete and I enjoyed it immensely(? spelling) so I thought I’d post a few pics, all the dark red lines and patterns are hand painted.
