hi all sure i have seen something for this but cant remember where
where you overlap doors etc on vehicles and have to cut is there something to seal them as they tend to get caught when getting in and out of. if you know what i mean think it was some sort of pen (?)

Hi Derek are you not thinking of the edge sealing pen for digital prints/laminating. I just make sure the door edge and reverse side are cleaned thoroughly, never had any bother.

Like Dave, I always slit down the mid point, wrap the edges round & heat them to get a better grab. Again, never have any bother.

Don’t understand what you need it for, but you probably mean the SEALITPEN, I have used it for sealing vinyl edges for some projects and it works nice.

Their website seems to be offline, so I googled and found one in the UK that sells them –
click here for the supplier (its at almost the bottom of the page).

    Good luck!

and could do with a bit extra help to keep it formed round the edge
just thought the sealer pen would do this. thanks for the replies anyway p.s. its absoluteley lashing down here in newcastle

I find trying to form reflective is a nightmare it always pops back i have in the past used a pencil brush and some frrog juice around the extrematies and found this worked.

With reflective it may be better to cut it level with or just back fom the edge, so that it dosnt go round the corner, It can depend on what make you are using as well.

    Hi Derek

I’ve got a catalogue here for APS which mentions Flexi-lite Series 5R Reflective, it’s described in terms of conformability to be similar to a cast vinyl. I don’t know if this helps, but if it’s more conformable, corners should be easier.

    Hope this helps.

just updated some reflective on my own van – just text letters, and used flexilite from aps as susan/garrie suggested and yes it works just fine, slit down the middle as suggested and the few mm left wrap around and adhere well to clean paintwork – best applied dry of course
