  • Scaling up a vehicle outline to full size????

Posted by Nobby Thomas on 19 March 2006 at 17:18

Any suggestions please for a village idiot??

Save chasing a vehicle down the road and stopping them for measurements.

    Thankyou

    Ian (Nobby) 😀 😳 😳

You could try taking a digital photo of money (dunno what size your notes are)
    Measure it.
Then put a box that same size beside your vehicle outline in your sign program and enlarge the outline.
It would be even better if you could tape the money on the door of the vehicle and take a pic of that.
    Just my half-assed theory.

Do you mean using vehicle outline software are actual pictures you have taken?

I have a old Mr clip art and you need to scale them 2000%

you should have a wheel base dimension on them, if you make that full size that should work.

Don’t forget that even when you have increased outline to “actual size”, there is no guarantee on the accuracy of these outlines. Always measure the vehicle and just use outline for designing.

Use the ones that are full scale, then you won’t need to resize them.
