painted Mural: nursery
This is a mural I painted for my baby when my wife was pregnant. We didn’t know if we were having a boy or a girl so I painted unisex images like Disneys Winnie the Pooh, Teletubbies and Fimbles. We had a daughter who you can see in the photo but the problem is that we’ve just bought a new house and moved and since I rented that particular property I had to paint it out, I felt gutted, lol it was like painting my Mona Lisa out because I don’t know if you can tell from the picture but I painted it so it felt like the characters were coming towards you and hence forth it felt like you could step into the wall!
This isn’t what I do for a living, it is purely a talent I rarely used and just wanted to do something special for my baby (though she’ll never remember it). I’m going to paint a new mural in my new house, the them will be Disneys Princesses and I’ll have Snow White coming out of the Disney castle with the Seven Dwarfs going to visit Sleeping Beauty being kissed by a Prince and crowded by her three fairy Godmothers and Cinderella riding by in the Mice chauffered pumpkin as Aladdin and Jasmine wave from above on their flying carpet.
This is something I’d like to do for a living but I don’t think you would get eough work to substain a good turnover and that is why my partner and I have stuck to digital art supply instead.
Like to hear what you think
Best regards
Scott
