I seem to be getting mixed results regarding print quality using my PC600
When printing on to heat transfer vinyl, the results are fantastic, but on standard white vinyl I get banding, line which don’t print etc. I clean the vinyl and head everytime using Isopropyl Alcohol. Any ideas?

We found using the cheap stuff worked better than high quality , however one thing to check is the little foam roller next to the head , it is actually what lays down the resin on the vinyl , NOT the head. This has to be in EXCELLENT condition otherwise you get drop outs etc. (they get graunched and dirty over tiume) The printing platen must be clean too and MUST be able to rock freely – make sure its also in great condition and the channel its in is clean.
Pre heating the vinyl helps too
If you are seeing a thin white line , you either have an alignment issue (details of how to fix in the manual) or a blown head.

make sure isoprop is dry also make sure there is no static when you clean and always roll out more than enough vinyl i always clean vinyl even if not printing so the head dont pick up dust etc
get a new head cleaning pen from roland the one i got with the machine looked ok but was dry and wasnt doing anything never tried printing on cheap vinyl try posting a pic so we get an idea of your problem
