  Suppliers in Tenerife

  Hi All
  After a long struggle I have emigrated to sunny Tenerife and I intend to start up on my own here but I can´t find any suppliers of vinyl cutters, vinyl suppliers or wholesalers of blank T shirts and polos. There are a few sign companies and T shirt printers but understandibly they were not forthcoming with any help. I know it´s a massive longshot but if anyone can help I will very grateful as I have managed to secure a workshop and hope to be up and running soon.

  Think Tenerif is spanish island… so maybe an Exhibitor list from the Spanish “sign” making event might be useful.

  Last year I was on holiday in Fuertoventura (another one of the Canary Islands) and there were signs everywhere – but no sign shops that I ever came across. I recall toying with the idea then of doing something similar (i.e setting up a sign business on the island). I’m assuming the signs are made on one of the islands and the signmakers probably hold in stock a fair amount of materials otherwise the cost to get small amounts shipped from Europe to the islands would be prohibitive. Have you done much market research – how many signmakers are there on Tennerife and how many are there on the other Canary islands?

  To buy the signmaking equipment I would have thought it better to source everything in Britain and ship it all out together.

  They sell vinyl, cutters, acrilyc, PVC, printers, etc.

  You can also try Gestion Grafica Canarias,, I don´t have their number in Tenerife, but I will find it. They are the Roland dristributor and many more. I buy my Versacamm, here. Ask the for the price here and in Britain.

  I´m based in Las Palmas so don´t know much about distributors in Tenerife, but If you can´t find what you are looking for in Tenerife you can take your car via Agaete to Las Palmas and buy it.

  I´m sure you will find anything you need to start your bussines in Tenerife, to ship the material from Europe for your own is crazy.
