Nice one. Look at those bloody wheelarches! I think I might do that to my car. Do you think it’ll look good on a Volvo estate? 😀

Like that. Is it a rally car in real life? or just a display?

squigley jiggleys.
looks good, Especialy the union jacks on the wing mirrors, detail is nicePeter

It took 2 days in all. all done in 751 apart from the number panels which were printed on the Cadet due to the detail of the sponsors names. Everything that looks black is actually carbon fibre. looks good up close.
The car itself is actually an autograss car. It has a 6litre 600hp engine in the back!
We also made a scale model of this car for our display stand that we had at the NEC at the same time. the customer brought us a 1/10 scale model of a new mini and we lettered it exactly the same – that was mostly print as everything was tiny. I’ll post a pic of it if I can find one.
cheers

OK I’ll bite being the dim witted aussie here, what is an autograss car?
Is it dirt racing without the dirt? sort of like a girlie cross country? 😮

Autograss races on quarter mile dirt ovals. the only similar things are the american sprint cars or maybe stockcars.
Its good fun! something to pass the time on weekends……..
Robert
the roof was done in cut vinyl 751cast. I cut it way too big and then cut it in by hand to get the roof shape spot on. took a lot of time but I’m glad I did it that way. If I were doing more of them I would’ve done a proper template for future use
Thanks everyone for your kind comments

Thanks for the answer. But why autograss? shouldn’t it be autodirt or something? 😉

the tracks start off with a grass surface at the beginning of the year but soon comes off after a few races at the first meeting. We don’t race in stadiums we race on specially made tracks in fields so the grass grows back every winter/spring when we don’t race. We only race march through to november……. only 4 weeks to go now……
