This Morning I set of to apply a check roof to a bmw mini, Anyway it turned out that the dealer had damaged one of the checks. so only one square needed replacing, but they had to buy the full set.

So all I need is a square 215 x 215mm Aspen white avery denison vinyl to make up the set. Dont know if its a special colour for bmw? but if anyone has a bit going spare it would be appreciated.

    Pete,

We use a fair bit of Avery but I don’t know what Aspen White is. Do you have a reference number? Or know which range it is from?

    John,
the backing paper, printed in a light green colour, says Avery-dennison
automotive division, with a logo of a car with a motion blurr if that makes sense.
an overprint along the side says “aspen white” The vinyl itself seems very thick, possibly laminated, thats the only info I have.
as I said, it may have been produced exclusively for BMW.

Most of the other decals that I apply are mactac, and standard colours.

Sorry Peter, I don’t recognise that description. Certainly nothing I have ever seen says “automotive division” on the back.

As you suspect, it sounds suspiciously like a special custom job.

I’ve got the Cox Plastics rep calling in on Monday and can ask him if you would like me to.

Sorry I can’t be of more help.

    Thanks john
Its not worth gettting involved with, for a small bit of vinyl, its not a big issue, I was looking for an off cut, to save a few quid, for my client, they wont loose any sleep over it. Thanks for the offer, but dont want to waste anyones time.

OK Peter, I was just thinking that 215 x 215 comes into the sample size range so that if it does turn out to be a standard material you might be able to get a bit for nothing and then charge the dealer accordingly.

    😀

well if its a simple question to the rep, like do you stock this, fine and It would be appreciated, but other than that, like I said, I hate to waste other peoples time, for what in effect is a favour,
