…. but not what you think! 😕

I was asked to ‘paint’ this to hang on a wall for a Lion King fan! I was very reluctant as I’ve never held a paintbrush since I was at school! 😮
Anyway it’s for a bedroom, so I used acrylics…. didn’t really have a clue where to start. But gave it a go anyway. 😳
I’ve decorated a wall with vinyl before, this was a something new…. I haven’t repeated it since!

:lol1: Oh Pete …. you’re such a tease! What a temptation that is…. an offer into your bedroom. Does Lynn know what you’re up to?

Marcella, i think you done great! I’m no expert of course but love what you have achieved free hand… 😀

If you can make it, go to Stewart mclarens LetterHead meet later in this year… you will get a good l laugh, i promise!
Why? Because for the first time since i left school i will lift a brush brush and paint my “first” panel…. i am actually asking someone to video me putting brush to canvas “so to speak”. If nothing else, the laugh will be good: wink:

Oh and before i go… the letterheads meet! it will be brill… everyone make a point in being there… no matter newbie or not, get along

thanks for taking the time to post your work marcella, great stuff!

Robert – I’d be WELL out of my depth at McLarens meet. I’d be embarrassed to put myself among ‘real’ signmakers.

Wouldn’t know where to put myself….. but I’m sure it would be a great day out! take it you’re going?

    Marcella, we Letterheads welcome Newbies.
You will have men falling all over themselves trying to show you the proper grip
    (on a brush that is)
One does not have to paint at a Letterhead meet, altho I encourage it.
One of our mottoes is “Leave your ego at the door”,
so nobody will put you down if you can’t paint.
    Love…..Jill

Jill – if you promise it won’t hurt then I’ll maybe go! After all, Callander is only 25 miles or so from me.

    Impressed!!

Did you use a projector or just (I say just!) do a grid to enlarge?

    How big is it?

ps. [tongue in cheek] Now that IS just a generic lion isn’t it…you wouldn’t be reproducing disney corp. artwork would you?!?

David – no projector or grid, I just copied it from a book. A fine pencil line as a guide first. But all freehand.

Lynn – brandy would be great!
