can cut all the tests i send but not the files? used to work
my Roland pnc-900 will cut all the tests i send but not the files? always used to work? im using vinyl master pro and im on the LPT port.
If any one has any useful information or you did/do have this problem could you please help out with any progress you may have made i’ve read all the help files and set everything up and the test’s i send all work fine but it just wont cut my file’s its not an evaluation version.

use that lead and a desk top printer – does the port and lead work OK
are you sure that the software is sending the cut info to the cutable area. or a strange language.
its not unknown for the port on the cutter to go down possibly try the com port if you have the lead and settings for the port.

the cable works and i have tried every language only 1 works and will cut the end of setup test file.
i cant actually send a file out, the button usually becomes available once a cut file is selected for cutting, but now its just staying grey and i cant click it.
Any thoughts anybody?(cheers for the reply chris) -
Try changing you parallell port to SPP in the computers BIOS
SPP is standard parallell port.Its probably on ECP or EPP and is too fast for the roland.

Have you set the cutter as the default printer for your pc? Start/Settings/Printers-faxes set cutter as default and reboot.
