i roll up and re-use alot of the backing paper, some gets used for signs and some for simply laying a clean surface under the plotter to keep long spools of vinyl clean as they go thru,
otherise i’ve found no use for it and incinerate it, our bins only get empties fortnightly, i got told off for putting it in the recycle bin cos its shiny backed ! so it gets burned,
re the vinyl, i throw all offcuts into a big box and re-use what i can for small jobs or fixing mistakes etc ! every couple of weeks i’ll go thru it all, keep what i think worth keeping, and the rest goes to my daughters school, i’m almost a saint there with my “sticky back plastic” as they call it !, the weeded vinyl usully gets put in the bin, dont burn it cos of the fumes and smoke !
if there’s a way of recycling waste vinyl i’d be glad to send it off if i had too, easy to fill my bin in a week, even with keep jumping on it !
