Hi, just phoned Victory for an ICC profile for VDM-914 ( Victorys super glossy digital white ) , for VERSACAMM SP-300, using ECOSOL inks, but they dont seem to have one. ( I was having a problem with not getting my blues very blue – more like purple! )

Anybody use this configuration, and if so can they give me the ICC profile,
    or any advise

    cheers

    Danny

ps Can somebody also direct me to the thread discussing the +’s and -‘s of the ECOSOL MAX inks – thanks

Allprint have a good range of vinyls and very good in fact superb profiles for ecosol max inks.

been using the max inks for a while and well worth the change over.

glad to see victory are keeping to there standard of after sales.

Hi, I had a similar problem printing solid gray from my Roland AJ-1000. They appear green when I look at them outside my shop, so imagine the nightmare. I color proof a job trusting my lighting inside my shop, then when I take my vinyl outside and the sun of Florida splashes on it it was green. What i did was to make a pattern (strip) of different square pantone grays and assign an individual profile from my PVC profile library to each of them and then print all of them. Voila!! Only one profile out of 12 looks gray inside and gray outside of my print shop. This is the profile I am using when a client has a solid gray in it’s artwork. I hope it will help you.

as there are often a lot of different combination of ink / media on the market, it is sometimes hard to get a correct ICC profile for each media.

we had a bit of similar problem before but i have decided to bit the bullet and got ourself a spectrometer from X-rite and calibrate our own profile.

Carlo, thats actually very interesting case, some colour does actually reflect in a slight different manner and appears different with directly sunlight. good job that you got it sorted now 😀

    regards
    Peter
