Typical! I went for a drive today to get out of the house and to take a photo of this job, and the second I got there it went all grey and started snowing.

Anyway, the first time I have attempted a folded panel sign and it went very well. 11 panels! The corner sign was fitted with some ali bent into 3 brackets.

By the way, as usual I fitted these on my own because I’m so hard. The top panels are 6′ x 3′

    Well done Mr. G !!!
haven’t a clue how you manage all these types of signs on your todd, but you do… and you make a nice job of it too mate. 😉

I like the multiple trays down the sides. Using the folds gives dimension of course and looks so much better than flat panels doing same.

How did you fit them. Was it L shape angle or?

Is that a colour blend on the main blue box?
my only constructive crit would be on the corner panel, “insurance” i would have moved it up a foot or so to align with other signs. also, i would have used same font etc. “i am guessing though” the original font would have been too thin, not bold enough for the customer?

thanks for taking the time to post your work mate. great stuff…

Thanks Rob. I fitted them over hardwood timber frames, painted 5 coats. Bit of an odd way of doing it I know, but I had a load of 3/4″ lengths left over from something and it’s as cheap as chips. The fade was printed on my mate’s Versacamm. All the panels have 1 inch returns, by the way. I thought of going deeper but I was worried the smaller panels would look wrong with a deeper return.

I kicked myself for not fitting the corner sign a bit higher, I didn’t notice until it was up but the customer was happy. The font is deliberately bolder because he wanted it to be more readable from the main road 100 yards away.

looks good to me dude !

i think Rob is wrong, i wouldnt raise the middle sign, i’d’ve definitely lowered the other two :lol1:

seriously, other than what rob said, it looks good,

Well done Andy. A credit for doing these on your own too.

I hate it when you notice a basic mistake like the lower sign, after the job is done, but we all do it from time to time I’m sure.

Have not done a folded panel sign yet, but may have a go at one in the new year if I can buck up the courage 🙄

    Cheers

Well done Andy – that looks great. You must be well hard to do that on your own – saves paying anyone else to help so more profit for you 😀
