I did this shop front about 18 months ago, and have only now taken a photo of it.

It was the first all-round for me-1st etch, 1st shop, 1st windows!

Let me know what you think……

Well done Lorraine. I always have difficulty with etch material, with bubbles. Don’t know why, must be my wrist action. (no doubt Phill will pick up on that 🙄 )

Good play on the name too.

    Thanks for sharing

Looks like a fun job to do! Well done, I was wondering if you put the coloured vinyl inside or outside the window?

The etch went over the top of the coloured vinyl. I applied the coloured dry & the etch wet. The problems I had with water being trapped around the coloured vinyl 🙄

I truly thought it would look like a dogs dinner, but the bubbles & wet did eventually disappear, and you wouldn’t think now that there had ever been a problem.

Looking at it now, I am aware of problems in the way that the window & door cut graphics don’t match up, but it looks better in real life!

    Looks COOL!!

so would you now approach the lettering and etch in a different way?

I THINK that I would now apply the etch dry, but not sure, maybe just use less spray.

If possible I would make an outline around all the cut stuff, and cut that out of the etch (couldn’t do it on this cos I only have a 610mm cutter).

I would also line the skull & x-bones up better with the writing on the windows, and do “something” with the red ones on the doors!

Probably loads more I could/should have done. 😕

I think every job could be picked apart and improved on in some way.

We all should strive for perfection ( Thats what I tell all my staff !!)

The 2 most important things :-

    1. Was the customer happy with it ?

    2. Are you happy with it ?

If the answers to the above are Yes – Then happy days.

Keep up the good work Lorraine .

Hi all, sorry to bump this again, but I have lost this particular font (the word ‘Monster Ink’) and need to use it-can anyone recall the name, cos I really can’t 😳 😥,

It was on my computer before it crashed, not to be found now though!

    Any help much appreciated!
