Bit of advice required please. I’m trying to connect my Win XP Dell to a PowerMac G3 running OS9.1 I can get the internet on both machines through a netgear ethernet switch but cannot for the life of me remember how to set up for file transfer between the two machines. Any advice gratefully received.
A bit more information. Appletalk is enabled as is file sharing. Access privileges have also been set on the Mac but i still cannot see either machine from one another

    Thanks

    Kev

sorry Kev, OS9 and Win XP requires specialist software to transfer between them…

Software called “Dave”, “Transmac” and a few others or in a big windows server environment file sharing can be setup.

Alternativly, use an email account on both macs (e.g. Hotmail) and email a file between email addresses.

    hope that helps
