  • Exterior traditional lighting – supplier?

Posted by Lorraine Clinch on 14 November 2005 at 14:19

    Hi

Just had a call from our local council re a planning application I submitted a while ago, on behalf of a client.

The council are refusing permission 👿 as they wish to have a more ‘traditional’ look on this particular building, and have suggested a ‘swan-neck’ type for the main sign.

Also the customer wanted a projecting light-box. Permission refused, but OK to have a projecting sign with external illumination. Does anyone have a site I can look at, or suppliers names etc?

    Any ideas gratefully recieved!

    Thanks Lynn, have emailed them.

Does anyone know of any ‘old-fashioned’ light fixings?

    Hi Nick
Thanks, definitely getting there, although I need something with a little more ‘spread’, as it were! The sign is approx. 40h x 28w (inches).
Any more ideas for suppliers out there?
I’m thinking of ‘Bankers’ lights, ie strip-tubes on a swan-neck type fixing with a black or brass covering/hood?
