Hopefully this is a good place to put this. When I first joined the forum, I asked for some help with a t-shirt shaped sign. The sign that I ordered turned up about a month ago and it was put up but when we had a big wind, it broke and fell down.

I decided that I would do the sign myself (after buying in the frame), but would like to point out that I print t-shirts and other items and that I don’t do this for a living. Feel free to comment on the finished result, but like I said I don’t do this kinda stuff normally.

It is just fine and legible.
But red has less readabilty than other colors on white….did you know that?
And I’m not just picking on you, but why does everyone over there seem to have to put “tel.” by a phone number?
That is my pet peeve (well one of them)
    Sorry for the rant.
    Thanks for posting your work!

I didn’t know that red has less readability. My reason for putting Tel in front of the telephone number was because it looked funny with just a number in the middle and the reason for the phone number in the middle was to split the two different parts (if that is the right word) of the sign.

I think it is an english thing Jill.

Here in OZ they insist on putting PH: – I hate that. If I can convince them to change it I compromise and settle for a phone graphic.

I didn’t think about using a phone graphic. I will remember that for next time.

Here is something I found on the Net about readability:
    http://hubel.sfasu.edu/research/survreslts.html
I remember years ago getting a chart out of a magazine, can’t find it tho….
Just something I find interesting, as every last client wants a white sign with red letters.
I still say you don’t need a phone graphic, or anything, when we see a group of numbers arranged just so, most all of us know it’s a phone number.
Didn’t mean to sound harsh, just trying to help.
Also glad you used a different alphabet than Helvetica for your heading! 😉
