  • what vinyl is used for watermark look on vehicles?

I see a lot of that "watermark" look on vehicles lettered in the UK and really like the look.

What are you using to acheive this?
I see that some of these are over irregular surfaces, so am wondering if something like trushadow would work? For, that’s a bit stiff. I’ve used it before for shadings etc, but nothing as large as this watermark appearance would need to be.

Any advice please – I’d like to try it out soon, but am leary of the effects I would get using say….a light grey on a white van etc. etc.

I think you’ll find a lot who do this just use an ordinary light grey vinyl
When more vivid colours are placed over the top it appears like a watermark

I hear that some are using etch vinyl too!
