I just thought I’d show two posters I’ve just done.

Never really do then now, maybe 2 or 3 a year. Both done using
permanent markers and a white glass pen for highlights, mainly for
    speed and instant drying.

In the old days used to use ‘Plaka Paint’ and ‘One Shot’ poster paint
mainly with sable one stroke brushes.

Does anyone out there still hand paint posters using Plaka paint, I think
it came from Germany? It’s water based, used to write price tickets in
    it aswell.

Also Christmass splet with double ‘S’ is apparently the proper way to
    spell it.

    Nice splashy work.
I love a good showcard, but rarely get to paint them.
    (I use 1-Shot when I do)
At my “day job” I get to make marker signs a lot.
A few weeks back the boss hollered at me because he didn’t like my style.
Hahaha…I told him that I guessed my 20 years in the sign biz was all for naught.

Jill, your boss is an idiot!

Those are really nice Martin. I really like the fireworks one. It looks like it is about to fly off the page.

Maybe the signs were better then the product it was promoting.. people might want to buy the sign instead

    Thanks everyone!

I did really enjoy doing them, back in the dayglo eighties I used to get
through a 50 mtr x 1200 roll of dayglo paper in a few weeks.

Look forward to seeing your work Pat, good old Pl aka.

Jill I still write a few tickets, can,t beat the effect of a well written
price ticket. When computers came out, the ticket side died due to
everyone printing their own in streched Aerial bold in rainbow colours.
