• File Swapping

  Illustrator CS – HELP please!

  Hi guys,

  I need a favour!! I have a file created in Illustrator CS and need it converting backward into Illustrator 8. Can anyone help? I hope so….

  The file is originally in PC format saved as an ai. The available plotting software I have right now is Omega Composer. I know that if the file were saved in Illustrator 8 then Omega would accept it immediately.

  If you can help at all I can email the file to you for converting as I can’t attach it here. I will then be eternally grateful!! Thanks all in advance.

  Can you post ZIP files here? or possibly just change the file extension to something acceptable? or did you manage to mail it before the mod-edit hit?

  Have you tried exporting the file as a legacy ai? not sure if version 8 is an option but v.3 is if your plotter can accept these.
