Has anyone done a Herbie, have a body repair shop here looking at doing a replica Herbie, any help (font for the 53, width of stripes etc.) would be much appreciated.

    Chris.

    Thanks Lynn, looks good.

Sorted out the stripes, 40mm red, 40mm white and 80mm blue, got the diameter of the “gumballs” (if that’s what they’re called), just need the 53 font now, even found a website that says to make it look authentic the stripe must come 13 holes in on the vent!!

Almost there, fitting Friday, try and post some pics.

Hi Chris the font we used for 53 was 20cebdee don’t know if it is the correct one as it was just a look alike for fun also don’t number of holes on the vent 🙄

Thanks Lynn. I’ll have a look at that font tomorrow, this customer has spent £1,000’s on the paint job and replacing all the panels, so somehow think she’s going to be a fussy one!

If she gets too fussy Chris – drop a few dark hints about copyright – that’ll make her revise her ideals a bit 😕
