    Hi all..
I have a customer that requires new signage..they currently have a 2 or 3mm powder coated sign with vinyl graphics on it..still looks pretty smart..
it’s about 20ft x 4ft( 2 pieces) fitted ina pantrim frame and all sealed in..
question is..what’s a suitable repalcement if any..as i would say they already have quality materials in place..do you think it would be just as good to just change the vinyl designs..
the background is currently black with silver & white graphics on.( but i think the entire colour scheme will change)
Would it be adviseable to “clad” the existing sign with say 2mm reynobond or that type of material, or would this prove too heavy overall..
or ..if I remove the panels would the exisiting panatrim be suitable for reynobond?

your replies would be appreciated..also any guidence on cost as well..

    thanks in advance

    hi
use rynabond at that size i would use 3mm, 3mm will fit in the panatrim frame better as well.

I’d be inclined to just replace the graphics, if possible. It depends on how much work is involved in stripping the old stuff off, but I doubt it would be dearer than 2 sheets of ali/dibond/whatever.

    thanks for replies..
customer wants it cream colour..with fairly basic graphics in black/yellow..
I understand that if i slightly sand over the powder coated panel..with wire brush or fine sandpaper..this will help the paint to stick to the existing panel..any ideas if a gloss paint will be ok..ive seen painted facias around with vinyl lettering applied..I assume that std vinyl is ok for this surface?

    many thanks
