looks like a graphic design job to me. Is it someones logo?

Thanks Shane,
That’s what we suspected, but this is taken from a poor quality business card, and it’s not the sort of outfit that would pay a graphic designer, so it’s more likely that some backstreet printer has it on their computer.
As usual, my customer doesn’t want to go back to the printer, but wants us to reproduce the style 20 times bigger on the side of their van!
Cheers

do you have print and cut equp – this could be reproduced using photoshop etc.

Yes Chris, we can print & cut, but the scan from the business card isn’t brilliant – actual text about 10mm high – and isn’t good enought o blow up to the sizes we need.
Thanks

no you will have to start from scratch but should be similar only

If cutting in vinyl:
use “Antique Olive” font and use a few outlines and welds to achieve dimension. also to make it have depth use a few shades of the coulor i.e silvers, greys, white, or the colour you require image to be.
If printing apply the chisel effect to get appropriate dimension.

Andy & Chris,
Thanks for your help. I’ll have to run it past the customer, but I think your solutions should be acceptable.
Much appreciated.

Hi again Andy,
My customer is OK with something close to the original, but the Antique Olive I have isn’t much like the original artwork. For example, the “a” is 2 storey and the “o” is slightly oval, not round.
Chris,
Did you use Antique Olive to produce the file you posted? If not, can you let me know which alternative font I might try?
Thanks
Danny
