Hi every one. i am putting a price together to vinyl a van with a design in 2 colours (Anthracite and Mirror)

The van is a toyota hi-ace 1996 model in Silver. My price is £550 all in fitted. Does this price seem ok as i don’t want to go in too steep as this is my first van since 1994. Design includes a strip of anthracite vinyl on both sides of the van with roofing contractor weeded out to leave the text silver (colour of van). The guys name is 2meters long in Mirror with an anthracite colour outline diagonally down the van and anthracite test around the van for bullet points, tel number etc etc and some other text.

back and front is same but not diagonally (straight and smaller obviously)

    with just name on bonnet

Any help would be appreciated asap

    Cheers LEE

i know you probably dont want to show a picture of the work being quoted as yet, but without a design it is very dificult to give a good costing on a job like this. doing it blind ide say its maybe a bit steep, but if your in london then probably not! im in glasgow area and going rate is lower.
again, i would have to see it.

something to think about thought. if your using mirror vinyl and crossing a hi-ace panels ide bet your going in and out of the recesses? if so, body swerve mirror vinyl. its a polyester film with no stretch at all. depending on the make too, its got a max life of 2 years on flat panels.
if you can lay it ontop of vinyl making up your design. if you have a laminator, laminate the mirror in clear vinyl first. this will increase the life a fair bit.
hexis do a laminated mirror vinyl and offer 5 years on it. call them and ask for dave, mention where you got this info and he may give you a bit of discount. who knows? 😀

As Rob says, without seeing its hard to say, but seems expensive to me. Even for london,

I use a Mirror vinyl thats polyester and rated for 5 years. made by Coburn.

The others are right, you pretty much need to see it to give an accurate estimate.
I give an estimate and charge time and materials… More competetive.
The last van I did Came out to $700 = 390 pounds, and it was a little higher than usual… more time, more material than the typical one.
    it varies so much…. I’ve done vans that cost $350 / 190 pounds and $1000 / 550 pounds.

Thanks for all ya help. will price it a little less maybe around the £400-£450 Mark as the recesses in the van might be a litle tricky
